Subject	"corrugated" carbon canister evaporation hose?

Message	This the ~8" vacuum hose that is near the bottom the engine bay next to the driver's side intercooler pipe and below the headlight. It has some type of "corrugated" sleeve on it. My hose is in need of replacing but apparently is no longer available from Nissan. Anyone know what the purpose of the corrugation was or if there is any issue with just replacing it with a standard vacuum hose? Thanks.
